The next...uh...month...is going to be even crazier than normal for me. I got a new house! It is a lot bigger than our current one and much closer to Kev's new job but we're moving on two weeks and we haven't even started packing.
Then the week after I move I go to Michigan for four days because my grandfather is turning 90 and this might be the last time I see him.
Then like the two weekends after that I have (around unpacking from the move) shows I am attending in-person which means following the guys around Southern California/to Vegas (I just want you guys all to think about the fact that if I weren't taking my family to Vegas with me I'd be riding on the bus with the band to get there). The last show I'm working is the last show of the US Tour so it is probably going to be a little nuts.
This just to say I might be scare until after October 15th but I am gonna try and keep at least partly on the ball.
Oh also if anyone has any BRILLIANT IDEAS for scenes with any of my guys@Evo I'm all ears. Proverbially.

I think the only way my job could more literally kick my ass is if my boss came over and applied his tennis shoe to my backside...and yet next to Ash I look like a slacker, wtf.
Also there is a free concert on the web from Incubus live tomorrow@noon pst if anyone wants to watch. Its on livestream and I am way too lazy to type the frigged URL in w/ my droid, sry guiz.

this fucking weekend.
I have basically had family (either my parents or one of Kevin's) in my house for A FUCKING MONTH. Joey's 2nd birthday was today (everyone marvel at that for a moment plz) and his party was yesterday and holy fuck. Being an adult and trying to arrange for OTHER ADULTS to show up in an agreed-upon location to shower adoration onto my son was so fucking hard. It's like herding cats, I'm not gonna lie, and alllll the family who couldn't make it were all butthurt that the Universe dictated they couldn't come on the 26th and I wasn't willing to move the party. And then Joey got sick the night before and was up until 3 am puking his tiny little heart out, and now Kevin has whatever it was Joey had and I suspect it is only a matter of time in my case.
Joey is, for the record, doing much better.
Anyway so. I am a huge ball of stress and my house is a mess and I am probably getting sick AND I'm PMSing, so please, be patient with me. I might miss (or have already missed) tags or shit, but I should be back on my stride by the end of the week. ♥ |

It probably says a lot about me that this is the first post I've made on here in forever. It probably also says a lot about me that it's only now that I am reasonably tempted to go back to my old habit of obsessive and mildly creeper-stalkeresque fanfic-slash-art. It ALSO probably says a lot about me that I am posting this on my Droid GODDAMMIT AUTOCORRECT because I am too lazy to go downstairs.

Okay, so, I know I mostly fail at being around lately (although I've been sort of active with this plot, I am so proud of myself, Ash we need to talk about Remy + Bel's thinger and possibly also what I want to do with Scott) but now I'm actually going to have an excuse.
At the end of this month, Kev, Joey and I are moving out of our apartment and into a townhouse. It's so much bigger and better and more awesome than the apartment we have now, I can't even begin to describe it. I am so excited but our move-in date is the 1st so I will be busting my ass to get everything packed up and ready to go, although we will be technically renting both places for most of October so there's a little padding. But just as fair warning--starting the 1st of October there maybe be some time where we've already transferred the internet to the new place but aren't actually living there yet, so I might go offline for a bit. But when I come back I will be in a whole new place with a wee little yard and no drunken fratboys living above me. We'll have a garage! Our own laundry! I'm so psyched, you have no idea. This is the kind of place we can really have a family in. The kind of place we can live in for years.

WELL this is fun.
I, being AMAZINGLY good at breaking the electronics around me in inventive and irreparable ways, have apparently ruined the display in my laptop. Being as we have a lot of computers in the house, I'm not entirely off-line, but also being as most of these computers are not portable (or not mine) I am not certain I will be around as much as I'd like to be (I can't, for example, log onto Trillian on any of Kev's machines without really effing his setup up, which I can't do because honest to God, his team at work uses the messengers to communicate about official stuff). Okay, so. Today is my birthday! YAY! Birthdays! I'm going to go to Babies R Us to pick up our crib and possibly also go to the beach, so I might not be around until the afternoon/evening (for me). But the point of this is a rather larger announcement:
I'm also two weeks to my due date! As this is sort of ridiculously close, I'm officially going on a sort of semi-hiatus for an indeterminate amount of time. Basically, don't expect to see me around like I usually am (although I know that's been less than desirable lately). Baby is coming soon! And then of course there will be baby-shuffling and family visiting and I don't really know how long it will take for me to settle down and feel comfortable juggling Newborn with Internet Activity so...yes. Hopefully it won't be too long. :) |

Well, the server is back up and limping along. That's the good news. The bad news is when I shut down last night my laptop borked. I am trying to make do with the piecemeal computers we have left but I've got this Frankenstein of a beast set up and it only sometimes works. I dunno when this will be fixed. Sorry guys. :( |

Some of you know that Kev and I were having trouble with our personal server (which powers a lot of my internet gadgets and whatnot) last night, and that Kev went down to the co-lo and apparently fixed it.
Welllllll, the server had other ideas, and at about midnight it went down again, and even harder than last time. My email is working about 50% of the time right now because it has protocols tied to that server that I don't even understand, so I might miss notifications/try to tag gdocs and get a response of basically 'that email address doesn't exist' or all sorts of FUN and crazy things right now. Right now I have no idea when it's going to be back up or how much data loss we'll see, and of course it's sort of stressing on its own right, so I just wanted to let people know. I know I haven't been as visible as I should be lately anyway, but this might...make it worse. Er. >.>
Anyway, my AIM still works, so y'all can find me if you need me. :) |
